Sister-city and friendship agreements, MOUs, past visits and current contacts.

In trade, education, tourism and community exchanges.

A recommended plan for the next 12 months, and a one-hour debrief.

Not included: full partner checks (a Full Partner Check is $1,200 + GST each, or included for Community International Relations subscribers), travel and legal advice.

How it runs

Usually 3–4 weeks from when we have your go-ahead and your documents.

Start-up

A session with your team to agree what’s in scope, and you send us what you have: agreements, MOUs, letters and contacts.

Review

We review your links and up to three current partners, in English and the other party’s language, and check the risks.

Report and debrief

You receive a 2–4 page report and a 12-month plan, and we talk it through with you in a one-hour debrief.

What comes next

The Review is designed to be useful on its own. If you want help carrying out the plan, it leads straight into ongoing support.

Optional next step

Community International Relations

$900 + GST a month for one council, iwi or CCO, or $5,000 + GST a month for a regional group of up to 10. 12-month minimum.

Your Review fee comes off

If you go on to Community International Relations, the full $1,200 comes off your first month.

Who’s eligible

These community prices are only for New Zealand councils (district, city and regional), iwi and council-controlled organisations (CCOs), working on their own community’s international relationships. Businesses, business associations, chambers and other organisations use our standard services and prices. We confirm eligibility in writing before we start.

No payment from the other side. We never take payment from an overseas party we are checking or liaising with for you. If any partner pays us a fee for anything, we tell you in writing first. Arrangements in China go through Beijing New Bridge, a separate company in which Eastern Bridge holds a 30% share; we always tell you when it is involved. See Transparency.

Questions

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. $1,200 + GST covers everything listed. If you want more, such as full partner checks ($350 or $1,200 + GST each, or included if you go on to Community International Relations) or travel, we agree it in writing first.

What do you need from us?

Copies of any agreements and MOUs, recent correspondence, and the names of your current overseas contacts. A short list is fine.

Who sees the report?

You do. It is written so you can share it with your chief executive, councillors, board or trustees.

Do we have to sign up for anything afterwards?

No. Many organisations use the Review on its own. If you do go on to Community International Relations, the full fee is credited.
